 | Prof. VLADIMIR G. CHIGRINOV Foshan University,China Research Area: Solid-State Electronics and Photonics (S2EP) Prof. VLADIMIR G. CHIGRINOV, the distinguished professor of School of physics, optoelectronics and engineering, a member of information display Institute (SID), and vice chairman of SID Russian branch. He has been an associate professor and professor of Hong Kong University of science and technology. He graduated from the school of Applied Mathematics of Moscow Institute of electronics in 1973, and obtained a doctor's degree in solid state physics (liquid crystal) from the Institute of crystallography of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union in 1978. Since 1973, he has been a senior researcher, chief researcher and head of the Department of the Institute of organic intermediates and dyes (niopik). He has been a leading scientist in the Institute of crystallography of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1996, and joined the Hong Kong University of science and technology in 1999 as an associate professor and professor of the Hong Kong University of science and technology. |
